Well, a lot has happened in the last few weeks.
I posted some shower pics which was on October 14. What an amazing day! This little girl has more stuff than I could have ever imagined. It's amazing to know that sooo many people are here to support her and watch her grow. I truly can't thank everyone enough. I didn't even cry until he very end of the shower when I opened my gift from my father. He made us a cradle! It is absolutely beautiful! My family has done soo much for us words can not describe the gratitude that I have for them. They are truly a blessing and Eric and I would be lost without them. Thank you!
On Friday, October 19th we went in for an ultrasound to check Emma's weight as she was little last time. Little did I know we were in for a whirlwind! She is now weighing in at 5 pounds 8 ounces. This is still small but it's ok because she is healthy and has enough amniotic fluid which is good. So we are done with the appointment and they go to check my blood pressure..... 152/92. Outrageous! I tell them I was at a funeral/wake/reception for my great aunt all day which I"m sure attributed to the high blood pressure. They decide to do a stress test on her to make sure she can handle the pressure. During the test a baby is suppose to have 2 "peaks" in twenty minutes. Well, miss Emma had about six. They said I should clone her she is soo perfect. Then the nurse practitioner comes back in. She says her and they doctor consulted and they have decided to take me out of work as of that day! I was shocked! There was so much I had left at work to do before leave. But then I realized that Emma is more important and work will survive without me. Then they give me a script for blood work and I have to go to Albany Memorial to get it done. I think the blood work was to check for toxemia, my kidneys, liver, and a whole lot of other stuff. They said worse case scenario I would have to be admitted to the hospital for "observation". Well, that did NOT make me happy. I got a call Monday morning and the nurse said the blood work came back fine. What a relief! So, until she arrives I am home being bored and waiting for her to come! I go back to the docs today. They are going to do another ultrasound and another stress test. My mom is coming with me because Eric is working and she didn't want me to have to go by myself. I will keep you posted on this.
As for Eric and I. The house is coming along. They did they roof this weekend. It looks really great. We are still deciding what to do about the septic lines. We just haven't had the time lately. Thanksgiving will be at our house this year, as long as Emma cooperates! I think it will be a lot of fun! Eric will be done with Owen's Corning on Thursday. He starts Mangoine's on Friday. I can't wait for him to have normal hours... 8-5 Monday- Friday and 8-12 every other Saturday! Not sure what we are going to do with each other. He's really excited and with the plant getting ready to lay him off anyways it was perfect timing.
Well, i guess that's it for now. I will post tomorrow to let you know how the docs went.

34 WEEKS!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone! I know it's been a while but it has been VERY busy in the Rodford household.
We bought a house so we have been very busy working on that. We are all moved in except for a few little things left at the apartment which Eric will be getting tonight and then we just need to clean it a little and that's all set. The house on the other hand in another story. We had the city come look at sewer pipe yesterday and come to find out there is a huge problem with it that he previous owner neglected to tell us about. The city says the entire system needs to be replaced which will cost a few thousand dollars. The owner signed a statement saying there was nothing wrong with the sewer system but the city has been to the house many times and has many documents to prove it. So we called our lawyer and he said we need to get an estimate of how much it will take to fix it and then bring the previous owner to small claims court. Just what we needed right now. We don't even know who to call to get an estimate from. Eric's asking people at work so we'll see.
As for Emma..... We went to the doctors yesterday and had an ultrasound done. She is in the head down position and has enough amniotic fluid so that's all good. Apparently she is underweight and only in the 22% range. She weighs 4 pounds 9 ounces at this time. If she gains 1/2 pound every weeks like she should that would put her around 7 pounds 9 ounces. I thought this was normal but the doctors might want to do another ultrasound in a few more weeks to check her weight. I am going every week now. My blood pressure was super high yesterday, 150/90,when the nurse first took it but we think it was because she used a very small cuff. When they took it at the end of the appointment it was my normal 118/72. So they want to keep and eye on that just to be safe. Not that I haven't been stressed out or anything lately between the house and work crap I wouldn't be surprised if my pressure was a little high. So since yesterday I have been attempting to "relax". Although I am currently at work so that's hard to do.
There are no new pictures yet. I don't have Internet at the new house yet. They are coming on Monday so I will try and get some new ones up ASAP. Once I get vacation pics developed I will post them too.
I guess that's the update for now. If anything changes I will let you know as soon as I can.

31 and 1/2 weeks!!!
Hello everyone! I know it's been a while but I was on vacation. I am not at 31 and a 1/2 weeks so let me catch you up.
Good news first.... We bought a house! We got the keys teh day before we left for vacation! It is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath house. It has a LR, DR, Kitchen and a play room ( which Eric had taken over as his bar room). We have a two car garage out back but the sided over the doors so it's now a huge shed. A nice back yard and most importantly it's ours! It's in Lansingburgh but it seems like a really quiet part of town. We are working on getting it ready, painting and cleaning that is. We don't have to be out of our apartment until Oct. 1st so we have a few weeks to get everything done and moved.
Vacation was WONDERFUL and I didn't want to come home. It was so relaxing and carefree. We can't wait to go back next year.
The baby shower invitations are in the mail. I can't believe it's only a month away. It's so exciting. Which means Emma will be with us before you know it. This pregnancy has gone by soooooo fast I can't believe it. Everything is still going wonderful. I start going every two weeks as of Friday. She is moving all around these days. She doesn't really like people to feel her though. She'll let you watch but as soon as you put a hand on my belly she stops moving. It's weird.
Bad news................... Eric might be getting layed off. He will find out definitely tonight. Perfect timing huh...new house new baby. Keep us in your prayers that if he does get layed off that he can find a new job quickly! I'll keep you all posted.
That's it for now.

Well, we had the gestational diabetes test done on August 11 and I just couldn't wait any longer to get the results. I called my doctors office yesterday. I told them I had an appointment set up for next week but if possible, could they give me the results. They called me back and let my know that my results were normal! Yay!!! no diabetes for us! Anyways, just thought I would let everyone know.

27 weeks and 1 day

Well, here are some belly shots from today, 27 weeks and 1 day. As you see, I'm getting huge. I've gained 19 pounds. That should be fun to try and get off.
Anyways, I went and had the glucose screening done yesterday. I had a choice between orange or fruit punch. I opted for the fruit punch. It was too bad at first. Then it was pretty gross. And when I burped it was even worse. But we all have to go through it. I go back to the doctors on 8/22 and they will have the results then. Hopefully everything is fine.
No word on the house yet. We are still waiting for a definite closing date. Hopefully they let us know soon. I think I might call the lawyer tomorrow to see what's going on.
Well, I"m headed to the pool. Talk to you all soon.
Love ya,
Jamie

25 weeks and counting...
Well, I went to the doctors on Thursday. It was the first time they measured my belly. We measured at 25 weeks which is exactly where we want to be. I have gained a total of 19 pounds so far. They said this was good. Sometimes my feet are a little swollen and I had to take my rings off so I asked them if I should be concerned about this. The doc said absolutely not. He said it's summer and almost everyone gets puffy and I am pregnant so I have two things working against me. He said as long as my blood pressure is good I will be fine. Which it is always 118/70's. Emma's heartbeat was in the 160's which was good. The week before vacation I have to go and get gestational diabetes blood work done. My next appointment is the week we leave. I guess that's it for now.
The lawyers are working on getting the title for the house so hopefully we will close as scheduled. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.
