Hello everyone! I know it's been a while but I was on vacation. I am not at 31 and a 1/2 weeks so let me catch you up.
Good news first.... We bought a house! We got the keys teh day before we left for vacation! It is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath house. It has a LR, DR, Kitchen and a play room ( which Eric had taken over as his bar room). We have a two car garage out back but the sided over the doors so it's now a huge shed. A nice back yard and most importantly it's ours! It's in Lansingburgh but it seems like a really quiet part of town. We are working on getting it ready, painting and cleaning that is. We don't have to be out of our apartment until Oct. 1st so we have a few weeks to get everything done and moved.
Vacation was WONDERFUL and I didn't want to come home. It was so relaxing and carefree. We can't wait to go back next year.
The baby shower invitations are in the mail. I can't believe it's only a month away. It's so exciting. Which means Emma will be with us before you know it. This pregnancy has gone by soooooo fast I can't believe it. Everything is still going wonderful. I start going every two weeks as of Friday. She is moving all around these days. She doesn't really like people to feel her though. She'll let you watch but as soon as you put a hand on my belly she stops moving. It's weird.
Bad news................... Eric might be getting layed off. He will find out definitely tonight. Perfect timing huh...new house new baby. Keep us in your prayers that if he does get layed off that he can find a new job quickly! I'll keep you all posted.
That's it for now.

Glucose Test Results
Well, we had the gestational diabetes test done on August 11 and I just couldn't wait any longer to get the results. I called my doctors office yesterday. I told them I had an appointment set up for next week but if possible, could they give me the results. They called me back and let my know that my results were normal! Yay!!! no diabetes for us! Anyways, just thought I would let everyone know.

27 weeks and 1 day

Well, here are some belly shots from today, 27 weeks and 1 day. As you see, I'm getting huge. I've gained 19 pounds. That should be fun to try and get off.
Anyways, I went and had the glucose screening done yesterday. I had a choice between orange or fruit punch. I opted for the fruit punch. It was too bad at first. Then it was pretty gross. And when I burped it was even worse. But we all have to go through it. I go back to the doctors on 8/22 and they will have the results then. Hopefully everything is fine.
No word on the house yet. We are still waiting for a definite closing date. Hopefully they let us know soon. I think I might call the lawyer tomorrow to see what's going on.
Well, I"m headed to the pool. Talk to you all soon.
Love ya,
Jamie

25 weeks and counting...
Well, I went to the doctors on Thursday. It was the first time they measured my belly. We measured at 25 weeks which is exactly where we want to be. I have gained a total of 19 pounds so far. They said this was good. Sometimes my feet are a little swollen and I had to take my rings off so I asked them if I should be concerned about this. The doc said absolutely not. He said it's summer and almost everyone gets puffy and I am pregnant so I have two things working against me. He said as long as my blood pressure is good I will be fine. Which it is always 118/70's. Emma's heartbeat was in the 160's which was good. The week before vacation I have to go and get gestational diabetes blood work done. My next appointment is the week we leave. I guess that's it for now.
The lawyers are working on getting the title for the house so hopefully we will close as scheduled. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Sad day :(
Well, last night was a sad night when I got home. My fingers are a little puffy and my wedding band and engagement ring couldn't budge on my finger. They were even starting to hurt my finger sometimes. So I had to take them off. As I'm sitting there crying my eyes out because I had to take them off, Eric is trying to console me by saying they are just a piece of jewelry and they don't mean I love him any less. Which is true, I don't love him any less because they are not on. I guess they were more important to me then I thought. Maybe it's the hormones or something but I never thought I would cry that much after having to take my rings off. Now I feel naked and I just home that after Emma is born I can get them back on. If not, off to the jeweler to get them sized!

We registered Today!
Well, we spent our morning registering for "everything" we need. We are registered at
Baby's-R-Us and Target. Eric had a blast. I couldn't even keep up with him!
We are doing well. We are in the process of trying to buy a house in Lansingburgh. It's a very cute 3 bedroom 1 & 1/2 bath house with a yard. We are just waiting for the mortgage company to ok it. Our projected closing date is August 21. Which leaves us with a very busy few months. We have to get everything packed between now and then because we leave for vacation August 24 and come back September 9th. We will be moving the weekend after we come back. Then the shower is October 14 and Emma is due in November. So we will be busy busy busy. Keep your fingers crossed!
