27 weeks and 1 day

Well, here are some belly shots from today, 27 weeks and 1 day. As you see, I'm getting huge. I've gained 19 pounds. That should be fun to try and get off.
Anyways, I went and had the glucose screening done yesterday. I had a choice between orange or fruit punch. I opted for the fruit punch. It was too bad at first. Then it was pretty gross. And when I burped it was even worse. But we all have to go through it. I go back to the doctors on 8/22 and they will have the results then. Hopefully everything is fine.
No word on the house yet. We are still waiting for a definite closing date. Hopefully they let us know soon. I think I might call the lawyer tomorrow to see what's going on.
Well, I"m headed to the pool. Talk to you all soon.
Love ya,
Jamie

25 weeks and counting...

Well, I went to the doctors on Thursday. It was the first time they measured my belly. We measured at 25 weeks which is exactly where we want to be. I have gained a total of 19 pounds so far. They said this was good. Sometimes my feet are a little swollen and I had to take my rings off so I asked them if I should be concerned about this. The doc said absolutely not. He said it's summer and almost everyone gets puffy and I am pregnant so I have two things working against me. He said as long as my blood pressure is good I will be fine. Which it is always 118/70's. Emma's heartbeat was in the 160's which was good. The week before vacation I have to go and get gestational diabetes blood work done. My next appointment is the week we leave. I guess that's it for now.

The lawyers are working on getting the title for the house so hopefully we will close as scheduled. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Sad day :(

Well, last night was a sad night when I got home. My fingers are a little puffy and my wedding band and engagement ring couldn't budge on my finger. They were even starting to hurt my finger sometimes. So I had to take them off. As I'm sitting there crying my eyes out because I had to take them off, Eric is trying to console me by saying they are just a piece of jewelry and they don't mean I love him any less. Which is true, I don't love him any less because they are not on. I guess they were more important to me then I thought. Maybe it's the hormones or something but I never thought I would cry that much after having to take my rings off. Now I feel naked and I just home that after Emma is born I can get them back on. If not, off to the jeweler to get them sized!

We registered Today!

Well, we spent our morning registering for "everything" we need. We are registered at
Baby's-R-Us and Target. Eric had a blast. I couldn't even keep up with him!

We are doing well. We are in the process of trying to buy a house in Lansingburgh. It's a very cute 3 bedroom 1 & 1/2 bath house with a yard. We are just waiting for the mortgage company to ok it. Our projected closing date is August 21. Which leaves us with a very busy few months. We have to get everything packed between now and then because we leave for vacation August 24 and come back September 9th. We will be moving the weekend after we come back. Then the shower is October 14 and Emma is due in November. So we will be busy busy busy. Keep your fingers crossed!

3D ultrasound in detail

Well, let's see. I got to the docs at 3:05pm for my 3:15pm appointment, which I had to have a FULL bladder for. Normally they take me in right away. So we are sitting there and waiting for what feels like forever because of course I have to pee like CRAZY! So finally an hour passed and they still haven't taken me in. I went to the desk and what was going on because I couldn't hold my pee anymore. They told me I could go pee. Of course they take me immediately after I go pee. So she starts with the normal ultrasound. She's measuring everything and telling us what everything is and different parts of the brain. The baby didn't want us to know what it was at first because she had her legs crossed for quite a while.... what a lady. Finally she stretched out and the nurse told us she was a girl. We were excited, although it wouldn't of mattered either way. Then we went and got my mom, mother in law and my sister so the nurse could do the 3D ultrasound. It was completely amazing! Her profile looks like Eric's, it was crazy! She is moving around SO much but I can't feel her yet, partly because the placenta is on top which is just another layer for the feeling to go through. She was moving around so much that part of the video is blurry because the ultrasound machine couldn't keep us with her. So, it was an amazing experience! We go back in four weeks, like normal. I promise to get some pics up soon!
